West Side Trail was closed, adding a 3 mile detour to our hike on May 25. Large stretches of trail were completely overgrown and wild, so it got pretty difficult and annoying at times, but there were so many wildflowers everywhere and great views, so still a beautiful hike.The campground parking was closed to go up stonewall peak. So I had to start at cold stream. Which added about 3.5 miles to what I had planned. But it was all good. Had the whole place to myself. And the added miles actually were welcomed.
