If sludge forms from short drive cycles or extended oil change intervals it blocks flow and can seize and bust the exhaust camshaft it attaches to. When that code pops the car can't be driven at all. $3150 doesn't seem wildly off.Determine which of those 3 or possibly some other source by isolating it, then work through finding the source. Find the wire from the driver's side lock switch and unplug it as close to the BCM as you can. If the issue stops it's on that leg. I've been having issues with my 2018 Malibu LT where the inside of the front and rearview windows become foggy and lots of condensation on the inside (this issue doesn't occur for the front and back side/passenger windows). I have to run the AC that hits the front and rear windows to get rid of it.
